Properties
Marbofloxacin is a synthetic, bactericidal antimicrobial which acts by inhibition of DNA gyrase. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as Mycoplasma spp.
Indications
For the treatment of infections caused by marbofloxacin susceptible microorganisms, such as: respiratory infections (P. multocida, M.haemolytica, Histophilus somni, Mycoplasma bovis) and mastitis (E. coli) in cattle and MMA in pigs.
Dosage, route and method of administration
- IV, IM or SC injection: 2 mg marbofloxacin per kg BW (1 ml/50 kg BW), once daily for 3 to 5 days (Route of administration and duration depends on animal species).
- Respiratory tract infection in cattle: one single IM injection of 8 mg marbofloxacin per kg BW (2 ml/25 kg BW).
Shelf-life
3 years.

Vials of 100 or 250 ml.
