Composition

Contains per spray can with 40 g suspension: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 5 gram.
Propellant: Propane / Butane.

Pharmacotherapeutic category

Antibacterial for topical use (Tetracycline and derivatives).

Properties

Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis at the ribosomal level. It is active against a large number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, such as: β-haemolytic Streptococci, Enterococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Arcanobacterium pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp. and Fusobacterium necrophorum, as well as against some Mycoplasmas, Chlamydiae, Rickettsiae and protozoa.

Indications

For the treatment of infections of superficial skin wounds caused by microorganisms susceptible to oxytetracycline and of sutured surgical skin wounds in cattle, dogs and cats.

Dosage, route and method of administration

Before use, clean the skin wound as soon as possible and shake the spray can thoroughly. Spray form a distance of 20 to 30 cm during 2 to 10 seconds depending on the size of the surface to be treated. If necessary the treatment may be repeated in dogs and cats.

2 years.
