Enrofloxacin 100 mg – Excipients q.s. ad 1 ml.
Antibacterial for systemic use (fluoroquinolones).
Enrofloxacin acts by inhibition of bacterial DNA gyrase resulting in inhibition of DNA and mRNA synthesis. It has a concentration-dependent bactericidal action against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasmas.
For the treatment of infections caused by enrofloxacin susceptible microorganisms, such as:
- Cattle: infections of the respiratory tract (P. multocida, M. haemolytica, Mycoplasma spp.), the digestive tract (E. coli), septicaemia (E. coli), acute arthritis (Mycoplasma bovis), mastitis (E. coli).
- Pigs: infections of the respiratory tract (P. multocida, A. pleuropneumoniae, Mycoplasma spp.), the digestive tract (E. coli), septicaemia (E. coli), the urinary tract (E. coli), MMA (E. coli, Klebsiella spp.).
Dosage, route and method of administration
IV, IM or SC injection: 2.5 – 5 mg enrofloxacin per kg BW (0.5 – 1 ml/20 kg BW), once daily for 2 to 5 days (Administration route, daily dose and duration depend on animal species & indication).
Vials of 100 or 250 ml.
Carton with 1, 6 or 12 vials.
